Oh my word! I can not believe it’s been over 4 months since I’ve done a blog post. I was literally in a slump for the longest time, then I got so busy with my new job that I took a hiatus from everything. I hadn’t done a podcast in about 3 months as well, but this time I’m back and ready to get back into a routine. So I thought for my returning post, I could blog about our vacation we just went on. My family was invited to come to Daufuskie Island in South Carolina this past week. So on July 6th, we stayed at a hotel for one night in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Then Sunday morning, we took a ferry to go to the Island.
That is the only way to get there. So it took around 25-30 minutes to get to where we needed. We were greeted at the dock and someone was there to help us with our luggage, and we went on to our condo. From our condo, we had an amazing beachfront view. One side you could look out and see the ocean, then other side, the pool was down below. It was between 5 and 6 when we got into our condo, so we put most of our stuff away, then we went out to eat at this neat little crab shack on the opposite part of the Island. The food was amazing and there was a band playing also. There was also a playground close by as well, so we let the kids play for a bit, while we watched the band play and had some drinks.
All throughout the week, we were at the beach every day and in the pool as well. We also had a golf cart to get back and forth to get pretty much anywhere. We went riding around and looked at the other places they had. We went to this nice little coffee shop on Monday morning, called School Grounds coffee and I tried a strawberry frappe with a shot of espresso, and it was amazing. It was the one thing I forgot to get a photo of, but it was so good.
We also went down to beach every single day, and I found so many seashells and the kids found some for them as well.
Overall, our family had an amazing time and we definitely want to go back again. I’ve created a slideshow of all photos, so if you have some spare time, feel free to watch the video at the end of the post. Catch you all next time.
